The Big Relax

The BIG Relax is a yoga class which have been lovingly crafted for those seeking to move their body in a gentle way, to release tension and to relax the nervous system. This deeply nurturing class is the perfect remedy for our busy lifestyle and a wonderful way to spend some time on your weekend or holiday to treat yourself to some precious 'ME' time.

Classes incorporate Slow Gentle Yoga poses, Hanna Somatics, Breath Awareness, Fluid Movement and Restorative poses to unravel stress and cultivate healing.

Through this type of practice, the body is invited to melt away tension, holding, stress and pain that may be stored in the body. And the nervous system is given an opportunity to recalibrate and reset so that you can feel nourished, rejuvenated and energised.

It is very much self-paced and can be adapted to support injuries or conditions you may be navigating.

TIME & LOCATION: The BIG Relax yoga class is 135 mins long and is held at Brunswick Valley Community Centre monthly on a Saturday afternoon and occasional public holidays. Directions and details of the class will be emailed to you upon registering for the class.


PRICING & BOOKING: This class is AUD$35 for casual attendance or you check out the Membership options which includes attending monthly Big Relax classes. You can book online and pay with credit card and direct transfer. (Cash by prior arrangement with Jackie)

HOW TO PAY & BOOK:

  1. Sign up for The Big Relax yoga class here by scrolling down and select Register for the date you are interested in or go to the pricing page for more information on memberships.
  2. If you are new to Soulful Moves you will be asked to create a profile (name + email)
  3. You can finalise the purchase with your credit card.
  4. You’ll receive a confirmation email with details of the class and you can manage your registration online from this confirmation email.
  5. You’ll also get a reminder email 1 day prior to the class.

CANCELATIONS: If you can’t make the class you can manage your registration via your confirmation email and reschedule. If its very short notice let Jackie know and we can arrange rescheduling for you. Refunds are available by request with minimum 24 hours notice. Email request to team@soulfulmoves.com. If class needs to be cancelled at short notice all pre-registrants will receive an email or text message when this happens. Cancelling is rare, but if it happens it's likely due to illness.

ABOUT JACKIE WALLIN: Jackie has been teaching Gentle Somatic Yoga and Hatha Yoga for 10 years and practicing yoga for 16 years. After experiencing corporate burn-out in 2012, Jackie found balance through a gentle, therapeutic yoga practice and was inspired to teach. She has completed over 650 hours of teacher training with renowned teachers such as Donna Farhi, and has recently added Calligraphy Yoga, Pilates and Embodied Dance. She teaches in-person, online and private classes that blend her favourite modalities to create safe, accessible and enjoyable experiences. Jackie’s classes support people to slow down, move in ways that feel good, release tension, balance the nervous system and increase fluidity, strength and resilience.
